Hafida.org is nonprofit animal welfare organization based in Mogadishu Somalia. Hafida was established in 2017 by Somali citizens who are concerned about the suffering and the ever increasing number street animals in Mogadishu and throughout the country.

Hafida’s vission is to lay the ground words for better animal rights and treatment in Somalia, from now and for the generation to come. We want to educate the Somali public about animal rights; by targeting school age children, and teaching them about being kind towards the animals. Hafida.org plans to open animal shelter in Mogadishu, the Somali capital, and to have offices in the coming years. The animal shelter in Mogadishu will help towards the care of the saved injured animals. The work of Hafida.org will be permanent and continuous; and we are hopeful to become the country’s major animal rescue society.
