Papua New Guinea
Vegan
Standard tourist hotels in Papua New Guinea, tend to offer Western, Asian and European cuisine, however the more remote visitors travel, the more basic the menu will become. The traditional diet of Papua New Guinea is largely vegetarian with the population relying heavily on taro roots, sweet potatoes and sago (a starchy substance taken from sago palms). Fruits are also considered a staple of the diet with bananas, coconuts, guavas, pineapples, watermelons, papayas and mangoes often accompanying meals.

For custom tours we are here all the time.
When to go
The drier months of May through to October is generally the most pleasant time to visit. It's also when many of the festivals are held. In most parts of PNG, diving is good year-round; Milne Bay however, has the best visibility from September to January and from April to June.
